FLOATING CITY GYMNASIUM

Sanad Engineering completed the design of Floating City Gymnasium looking to combine functional composition, aesthetics and energy performance. The building is open, alive and conducive to sporting practices for Amwaj Island residents. The volume’s large overhangs shades the site from the harsh sun, whilst the continuous curtain wall gives way to a feeling of comfort. Bathed in soft natural lighting, the surrounding space is imbued with elegance that gives a sensation of lightness to the site. The site hosts a large, versatile gym space, the locker rooms, a reception hall, a storage area, a café, and terrace swimming pool.
